Frequently Asked Questions
Here at Roots to the Future, we understand that parents may have a lot of questions about who we are, who we can help, and what we offer in terms of education. We have put together a list of some of our most frequently asked questions, but please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any further queries.
What times do your session run?
Our sessions run from 10 am until 4 pm, with an hours lunch break at midday.

Are your tutors DBS checked?
Yes, all of our tutors and bolunteers hold an enhanced DBS check. All tutors are also first aid trained.

Do you cover English/Mathematics within your sessions?
Whilst we currently do not faciliate sessions solely focused on english and mathematics, we do integrate these skills into our every day learning. We find that children tend to learn these subjects better when able to get hands on, and learn through 'doing'.

What ages do you accept to your sessions?
We take children from 3 years old, right up until 16 years old. Our sessions are mixed ages. We believe that children learn from one another and that each age group of children have so much they can demonstrate to the other ages of children attending.

Do you cater for children with additional needs?
Absolutely! We believe that every child should receive an equal and inclusive education, regardless of any needs they may have. Please notify us when booking for any additional needs your children has when booking, so that we can discuss before hand how best to support them.

Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we have the option to pay for a bulk booking of 8 sessions, where you can save £38 by doing so. Once you have booked paid for your bundle, you will then be able to book your child's place onto any session over the next 6 month period.

Is there anything my child needs to bring to their session?
Please ensure that your child has plenty of water with them for the session, and a healthy packed lunch. Due to the nature of our sessions, please also ensure that they are wearing old clothes and sturdy shoes or boots that you don't mind getting dirty!
